This original series was conceived early 2012 by Adam and ultimately executed as a collaborative work between Adam and Will Coles. Accepted as a finalist in the 2012 Sculpture by the Sea (Tamarama Beach), the bins each featuring an embossed title of the nine federal public holidays. It was by far the most poignant entry and, for the most part, the most abstract. The fundamental comment being that of our environmental responsibility as a nation upon those occasions of holidaying.
The series was acquired by the National Gallery in 2017.
