This Jukurrpa comes from Cockatoo, Mt. Dennison, to the east of Yuendumu. Japaljarri has shown the Kangaroo travelling from its camp at different waterholes in the country. The path of the kangaroo is depicted by its wirliya, tracks. This kangaroo travelled all the way to Yatarla, far to the west. The Dreaming, designs and country are sacred to Japaljarri and Jungarrayi men and Napaljarri and Nungarrayi women.
