In her paintings, Polly depicts “Anwekety” or Bush Plum Dreaming. The Bush Plum, also known as the “Conkerberry” is collected by the Anmatyerre women. The trees generally start bearing fruit after rain. The women shake the trees to make the plums fall to the ground. The plums are then soaked in water to make them plump. They have a pleasant sweet taste like grapes.
