This is the skin of the Mountain Thorny Devil Lizard that changes colour in the desert as the sun sets and rises and the dew catches upon their skin. They also use the dew to cool down. Thorny Devil is not eaten unlike many other larger llizards in the desert areas, which are a staple source of iron and protein. The artist is Sharon Numina.
