The Aboriginal symbols depicted in this artwork tell a story of two men (U shaped icons) sitting at a waterhole (circle). Other symbols depicted are dotted lines which represent the journey path.
Waterholes were traditionally important sources of water for Aboriginal people in Central Australia. Knowing the precise location of each waterhole or soakage was extremely valuable knowledge.
