Gladdy lives at Camel Camp in Utopia, with the Ngal sisters Kathleen, Poly and Angelina. She was involved in the early batik projects at Utopia in the late 1970s and began painting on canvas in the late 1980s with the first CAAMA painting project. Gladdy has exhibited widely, often with her sister who is now deceased. Gladdy often paints the Bush Plum, a plant found in the area which has flowers and fruits that are good to eat. On one level her paintings are depictions of the flowers and fruit and are about bush tucker. On a more complex cultural level, her works deal with women's ceremonies and special sites that are related to the bush plum.
